There are many ways to volunteer at CarePoint Clinic. Some of our current needs are:
In Clinic Opportunities: These opportunities require clinic hours and a minimum commitment of 1 four hour shift per month.
Patient Care Coordinators
These amazing volunteers greet our patients and help them get all the in-take paperwork complete, answer phones, schedule appointments and help support our providers with light administrative help. The ability to work on the computer and basic technology is helpful. We will provide training on clinic processes and procedures, as well as our scheduling software.
Nurses provide nursing services to patients during clinic hours and assist with special events like health fairs screening in the community. RN’s, LPN’s, MA’s, CNA’s are needed. All nurses must be licensed and have malpractice insurance.
Healthcare Providers provide primary health care during clinic hours. CarePoint providers are family physicians, internists and nurse practitioners. All providers must be licensed and have malpractice insurance. Commitment a minimum of 1 4 hour shift per month.
*Note: For licensed volunteers who do not have malpractice insurance, it is available free of charge through WHAA. CarePoint will assist our volunteer providers in obtaining this insurance. For retired practitioners WHAA can also help with volunteer license renewal free of charge.
